23 Rain Barrel Workshop and Sustainable Landscape Tour

Lee County Extension Educators, the Estate Horticulturist, Debbie Hughes and Southwest Florida artist Marie Dyer,  will provide 'how to' demonstrations on constructing and artistically painting a rain barrel followed by a 'behind the scenes'  tour of the estate grounds. Attendees will learn 'how to' construct, paint and install a recycled 55-gallon plastic barrel to collect rain water from a roof.  Estate gardeners will show you rainwater is used daily for watering landscape plants, potted container and nursery plants, etc.  Workshop attendees receive a rain barrel along with set-up & maintenance guidebook.  This workshop will show you how to conserve water, save money, and protect water quality.
